A need to reduce the variation in the mill feed was identified at Hudbay Stall Mill and various

options were discussed to better integrate the mine-mill towards better throughput and recoveries.

This paper presents reduction of variation approach utilized by Hudbay Stall mill to blend the Lalor

mine feed. Mine feed varies in Cu, Zn, Au and Ag metal content due to various different

mineralization zones. This paper presents the stability approach that was successfully undertaken

without the need of capital solutions. Various phases of this project from verifying Blending is

possible using an XRF gun to validating that improvements are achievable will be covered in this

presentation
