Carmine Cirello

Chief Financial Officer

Carmine has over 20 years of operational, continuous improvement, technical and research experience within the mining and metallurgical industry. Prior to co-founding A+I, Carmine occupied various management and leadership roles with Falconbridge/Noranda/Xstrata and Inco/Vale, based in Ontario, Quebec and Norway.  Carmine has an M.Eng, is a registered professional engineer of Ontario and a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt.  Carmine is fully bilingual (English and French) and can also provide support in Italian, Norwegian and Portuguese. Based in Oakville and Montreal, Canada.

Asim Khan

Chief Operating Officer

Asim has over 15 years of engineering experience within the mining and petroleum industry.  He has a proven track record of delivering tangible results for major industry players across the globe and is skilled at forging long term client partnerships. Prior to co-founding A+I, Asim  led many Operational Excellence initiatives as well as technical projects specializing in Process Improvement, Constraint Modelling, Performance Management, Mine Optimization, Feasibility Studies, Petroleum Geophysical, Reservoir and Production Engineering. Asim has a MASc. in Petroleum Engineering and a Ph.D. in Mine Operations Research. He is based in Toronto and frequents to Calgary, Canada.

Hendry Widjaya

Process Improvement Consultant

Hendry Widjaya joined A+I Inc. in January, 2018. Hendry is a graduate of McGill university in chemical engineering. Hendry has worked in multiple processing plants with Vale specializing in base metals and completed a few continuous improvement initiatives within the company. He is currently leading one of the operational improvement initiatives in the milling area with Hudbay minerals in Northern Manitoba.   

Hendry has deep interests in financial and investing world and is working towards his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

Abdel Moujahid

Business Improvement Analyst

Abdel joined the A+I team in the first quarter of 2018. He holds a master's degree in quality engineering from the Sciences and technologies Faculty of Settat - University Hassan 1st, Morocco. Prior to joining A+I, Abdel has gained Quality, Health & Safety and Environment integrated management System experience in food, airline, mining and metallurgy. You can currently find him working at Newmont-Goldcorp's Éléonore mine collaborating with the operational excellence team finding cost effective solutions to improve productivity. Abdel is registered EIT in the province of Ontario and currently a member of AEROMAC Experts based in Montreal. Abdel is able to provide services in English, French, Spanish and Arabic.

Haroon Khalid

Business Improvement Analyst

Haroon has a Bachelor's of Chemical Engineering from McMaster University and joined the A+I team in October 2017, working as an Improvement Specialist. Haroon is a natural leader and connector with strong communication and relationship building skills. He is Passionate about data analytics and process improvement, with an attitude to solve business problems and drive business results by creating innovative strategies and leading flawless execution. Haroon has been an integral part of A+I improvement project teams and have conducted many day in the life studies. He has also successfully led Kaizen events with operators, supervisors and engineering personnel to educate them on waste identification techniques, mistake proofing, and brainstorming solutions. He is currently part of A+I Hudbay Lalor Improvement team. Additionally, Haroon currently holds a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. Haroon is based in Toronto, Canada.

Christopher Cardazzi

Business Improvement Analyst

Chris is the newest member of the A+I team. In December 2018, he obtained a bachelor's degree in mining engineering at McGill University. During his internship with Imperial Oil, Chris led a continuous improvement study at their Kearl mine tailings' facility in Northern Alberta. Currently, you can find him working at Lalor mine in Northern Manitoba as part of the effort to increase mine productivity. 

Additionally, he has experience in producing NI-43-101 pre-feasibility studies as well as stochastic ore body modelling. Chris is able to provide services in English, French and Spanish and is based in Montreal, Canada.
