Simulation and Digital Twining for Continuous Improvement
About the Course
Course description
Provide awareness of two data-driven optimization tools: simulation and digital twining, in particular as Continuous Improvement tools. Training will cover the differences between the two tools as well as when to use each. Approaches will be covered to get the best out of both tools toward driving continuous improvement.
What is Simulation?
Simulation models are data-driven virtual models designed to analyze and test different variables in the digital environment or interface to assess possible outcomes. They generally are static mathematical models that once built are utilized to do what-if scenarios.
What is a Digital Twin?
Digital Twin models are data-driven virtual models designed to analyze and test an existing physical process, asset, project, or object. They generally are active mathematical models that can be utilized to test the limits of current performance and assess the identified improved opportunities
